What is love?

What is love?

Love, when found, is desire. A desire which forms a bond. A bond, which transits to love. Love, that is based on trust. And trust, which is greater than worship.

Your trust breaks once, and you find it hard to trust them again. Before we love, we should learn to trust, be honest and be transparent. Don't say stuff you don't mean, even with a good intention, it will lead to nothing but doubt in the long run.

We search for stability in a person, in life. Love is nothing if we don't find stability with him/her. A fluctuating heart repels you.

Attraction is temporary, stability is permanent. Immaturity in talks and actions gives a clear sign that he/she is not yet ready to commit.

Love is sacrifice. A woman sacrifices a lot in an attempt to bring happiness in a man's life. No man can sacrifice his home to live in some other. The least a man can do is to let go of small things which hurts or causes disturbance. It might be bringing some amount of joy to them but what good is that happiness if it brings tears to the other. A woman will be hesitant to move ahead with him if she learns that in the long run, she will be the only one making compromises. Let go of your arrogance. Stop being stubborn. Value efforts and pure feelings over temporary attachments.

Love is unconditional. It doesn't come with terms and conditions. It doesn't come with a validity. These 4 letters can mean the world to someone. Don't use it unless you are sure. And if you're not sure, be sure that you don't love him/her. If you do, you would know.

Love is letting go of your ego. Let go of your arrogance or even self-respect in front of them and they will make sure that they value your respect more than theirs. .

Love is a two-way process. Nobody likes it when they are the only ones proclaiming feelings or giving efforts.

Love is not a theatre and you are not the spectator.

Love is not about options. Stop searching for options to find the perfect one. Perfection is not found, but made.

  4. I am a regular reader of your poems on IG. Hope you will recognize me. You seem to have understood love very well, much unlike the rest of us. I am pretty sure this is based on personal experiences and I would like to say just one thing- he is/was/could have been extremely extremely lucky to have one of the purest soul on Earth. God bless

    1. I am yet to make an identity for myself and am a small person. As such, such words means a lot to me. I hope I can justify this love and support in the long run. Moreover I have got shades of black and gray, so no-one is lucky (apart from me). Thank you so much. Keep the blessings pouring 🙏
